Software Engineer

About the role

Talkdesk is looking for a Software Engineer to join its engineering team that builds the next generation of its cloud‑based contact‑center platform. You will work on micro‑service architecture, APIs and data pipelines, collaborating with product owners and other engineering squads to deliver scalable, reliable features.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs using Kotlin, Java and Spring Boot.
• Implement scalable, stable, and user‑friendly solutions that support current load and future growth.
• Participate in an agile environment with Git version control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and continuous deployment.
• Integrate Talkdesk with external systems via APIs, middleware and custom development while ensuring data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with product, design and other engineering teams across business units to meet functional requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, document architectural decisions and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related engineering field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably on cloud‑based applications.
• Strong object‑oriented programming skills and experience with service‑oriented and event‑driven architectures.
• Proven ability to write clean, secure, standards‑compliant code and advocate for automated testing.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
