Software Engineer – IoT Satellite Solutions

About the role

FOSSA Systems is seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join its Lisbon office. You will contribute to the development of IoT satellite solutions that enable remote asset management and connectivity across a growing constellation of satellites.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable front‑end and back‑end applications using JavaScript, React and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support satellite and IoT services.
• Write Python scripts for automation, data processing, and tooling.
• Collaborate with hardware, test, and operations teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability through personal projects or professional work.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
