Software Engineer II – EDR Workflows (Security)

About the role

Join Elastic’s Security EDR Workflows team to build core capabilities that power the Elastic Defend management experience. You will develop policy configuration, response actions and forensics features, collaborating with product, design and other security engineering teams to protect customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Implement features that power the Elastic Defend user interface.
• Contribute to the architecture of the management and response‑actions framework, including OSquery forensics capabilities.
• Develop scalable, high‑performance systems within the Elastic ecosystem.
• Write production‑grade code in TypeScript/Node.js and collaborate with other engineering teams.
• Participate in code reviews and help improve engineering standards and tooling.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of Node.js and React.js; TypeScript is a plus.
• Comfortable using AI to understand complex problems and accelerate development.
• Curious, collaborative and able to give and receive feedback across time zones.
• Proactive mindset: asks the right questions and seeks process improvements.
