Software Engineer – Front‑end & Back‑end

About the role

FOSSA Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Lisbon office and contribute to the development of IoT satellite solutions. You will work on both front‑end and back‑end components, ensuring that applications are efficient, scalable, and user‑friendly.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end software solutions for web and IoT platforms.
• Develop front‑end interfaces using JavaScript, React, HTML and CSS.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and back‑end services.
• Write Python scripts for automation, data processing and integration tasks.
• Collaborate with hardware, operations and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with JavaScript and Python, preferably through personal or professional projects.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
