Software Engineer – Backend & Frontend (m/f/d)

About the role

SOFICO is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Miles Core team in Porto. You will help evolve and continuously improve the core platform that powers leasing, fleet, and mobility operations for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Extend Miles Core with new and improved generic features.
• Perform technical analysis, design, and implementation for both back‑end and front‑end applications.
• Address non‑functional requirements such as security, performance, and platform upgrades.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance the stability, scalability, and reliability of the platform.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high‑quality enterprise solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in an engineering role within an enterprise software product environment.
• Proficiency in Java and Java EE.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
