Software Engineer – Associate

About the role

The Software Engineer will contribute end‑to‑end on new features, enhancements, and defect resolution across iCapital's platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product Management, translating requirements into robust code while participating in testing and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend features using Ruby (3.6.6) and Rails (6.x).
• Implement frontend functionality with React and Redux.
• Create unit and integration tests using RSpec, Cucumber, and Capybara.
• Build prototypes and proof‑of‑concepts.
• Participate actively in daily stand‑ups and peer code reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of full‑stack web development experience.
• Proficiency in React, Ruby on Rails (or Python/Elixir as alternatives).
• Strong HTML/CSS skills and solid understanding of relational databases.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, both written and verbal.
• Self‑motivated, collaborative, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
