Software Engineer – AML

About the role

Feedzai is building a world of safer money by using AI to detect and prevent financial crime in real time. As a Software Engineer on the Risk Engine team, you will help evaluate transactions and score risk under strict performance, latency, and availability constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full software development life cycle, writing reusable and testable Java code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best‑practice guidelines.
• Support the cloud‑native SaaS strategy and help design decoupled micro‑services.
• Engage in recruiting activities to attract top engineering talent.
• Provide production support and improvements for mission‑critical clients.
• Work iteratively within agile teams and take part in on‑call rotations with dedicated compensation.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building Java backend software.
• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Strong coding skills and solid computer‑science fundamentals.
• Experience developing high‑performance, concurrent server‑side code.
• Experience designing modern web applications.
• Familiarity with modern distributed‑systems platforms such as Spark, RabbitMQ, Kafka or Cassandra.
• Contributions to open‑source projects are a plus.
• Passionate desire to learn, grow and solve tough problems autonomously.
