About the role
Thales Portugal is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Air Mobility Solutions team. You will work on the specification, design and development of Java‑based solutions for air traffic control, collaborating with an international, multidisciplinary group of experts.
Key responsibilities
- Develop high‑quality, maintainable and secure Java applications that meet business and stakeholder requirements.
- Design scalable software architectures while ensuring compliance with coding standards, security and data‑protection regulations.
- Write, execute and maintain unit tests, troubleshoot bugs and optimise performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews, manage technical debt and produce clear technical documentation.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams and stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience in software development and software engineering.
- Strong written and oral proficiency in English.
Required skills
- Java programming language.
