Service Technician – Turbine Maintenance

About the role

Nordex is looking for a Service Technician to join its field team and support the maintenance of wind turbines. You will work on‑site, ensuring safety, reliability and performance of turbine assets while contributing to a greener future.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all health and safety instructions and guidelines.
• Work safely with materials and personnel on turbine sites.
• Analyse defects via phone contact with the Service Coordinator.
• Perform simple turbine repairs, troubleshooting and fault finding autonomously.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspection activities together with subcontractors.
• Complete reports and checklists for the Local Operation Manager.
• Monitor spare‑part inventory and manage on‑site material.
• Track service reports and steer the service process to ensure correct expense booking.

Required profile

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take responsibility.
• Readiness to travel regularly, including overnight stays.
• Computer literacy with MS Office and internal database/workload management systems.
• Willingness to undergo training.
• Ability to work at high altitudes and climb turbines daily.
• Fluent English (reading, writing and speaking).
