Service Engineer for Rotating Equipment

About the role

As a Service Engineer for Rotating Equipment you will support reliability and performance of large gas turbine assets, analysing data, assessing component condition and contributing to outage planning and technical investigations in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Large Gas Turbine components and deliver condition‑based assessments to ensure reliable performance.
• Collect and evaluate operational data, perform risk analyses and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare outage plans and project‑specific checklists to support maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support during outages, both on‑site and remotely, including troubleshooting and lessons‑learned reviews.
• Participate in technical projects, root‑cause analyses and customer meetings to implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Energy Technology, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical qualification.
• Basic understanding of gas turbines, turbomachinery or power plant technologies.
• Initial experience with technical projects, project management, risk analyses, data evaluation or technical documentation is a plus.
• Analytical, solution‑oriented mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel and support a 24/7 engineering hotline.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with Oracle database systems.
• Experience with Power BI for data visualization.
• Knowledge of low‑code programming languages.
