Senior UX Designer

About the role

We are expanding our UX Design Team at NLS and are looking for a Senior UX Designer to lead design initiatives for a Duck Creek commercial policy product serving a property & casualty insurance client. You will shape user experiences, mentor junior designers, and keep the team aligned with the latest design trends.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and maintenance of design systems and style guides across products.
• Conduct user research, validation, and integrate feedback into design improvements.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure user‑centered solutions.
• Produce wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
• Interpret business requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
• Work closely with development teams to verify design feasibility and perform quality testing.
• Mentor junior designers and champion best‑practice UX methodologies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
• Proven ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands‑on experience.
