Senior Tax – Financial Services

About the role

KPMG is seeking a Senior Tax professional to join its Financial Services team in Portugal. You will advise leading financial institutions on complex tax matters, helping them mitigate reputational, operational and financial risks.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on Corporate Income Tax, Stamp Duty and other financial levies for clients in the financial sector.
• Develop and deliver innovative, compliant tax solutions tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure integrated risk management.
• Support business development by identifying tax optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Management, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of tax experience; financial‑services tax exposure is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and client‑service skills.
• High accountability, self‑motivation and ability to manage projects and teams.
• Fluency in English (mandatory) and willingness to travel.
• Positive, inclusive attitude and a collaborative mindset.
