Senior Software Developer

About the role

Springer Nature’s SN Digital division is looking for a proactive senior software developer to help build the next‑generation publication experience for researchers worldwide. The role is based in Lisbon and will involve working in multidisciplinary delivery teams to create digital products and services that support the research community.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain software components that power Springer Nature’s digital publishing platforms.
• Collaborate with product, design and research teams to translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of the next‑generation publication experience.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Several years of experience as a software developer, preferably at senior level.
• Strong command of English and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
