Senior Software Architect – Digital Twin

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Architect to join our growing team in Portugal. You will design modern, scalable software solutions that support complex logistics environments within the Körber Supply Chain Business Area.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable architectures for logistics applications.
• Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for optimisation and modernisation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers and business stakeholders across functions.
• Define and promote architectural standards and best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance our logistics software portfolio.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong background in developing C#/.NET projects.
• Broad understanding of development methods and software patterns.
• Experience building modular and expandable software.
• Good knowledge of interface technologies and API design (plain TCP/IP sockets, REST, WebSocket).
• Ability to choose appropriate solution complexity.
• Awareness of stability and performance considerations.
• Basic knowledge of modern security concepts.
