Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a long‑running, production‑critical trading platform for a large enterprise client. The platform, built with modern TypeScript technologies, has been live for over seven years and continues to evolve with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated test pipelines using Playwright.
• Analyse functional and non‑functional requirements, identifying gaps and inconsistencies.
• Develop automated tests for software validation, ensuring high quality.
• Explore LLM/AI opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining responsibility for test outcomes.
• Collaborate early with engineers to embed quality throughout delivery.
• Report, triage, and follow up on defects.
• Promote QA best practices and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Help define test automation guidelines and standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience writing automated tests for web or non‑web applications.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript and version control with Git/GitHub.
• Experience with Jest, Playwright and BDD tools such as Cucumber.
