Senior .NET Engineer

About the role

Komodo Consulting is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to join a technology company project focused on cloud‑native, AI‑enhanced services. The role is based in Lisbon with a hybrid schedule, allowing two days per week on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high‑performance microservices using .NET 8, applying clean‑architecture and scalability best practices.
• Build and maintain asynchronous, event‑driven workflows with AWS SNS and SQS, ensuring data consistency and resilience.
• Lead integration of Large Language Models into core applications, bridging .NET back‑ends with Python‑based AI logic.
• Collaborate on high‑throughput data pipelines using AWS Data Firehose and Data Streams for real‑time processing.
• Ensure code quality through unit and integration testing with xUnit and WireMock.
• Work with SRE teams to deploy services via GitHub Actions and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Utilise AI‑assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate development while maintaining security standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience (5+ years) developing cloud‑native applications on AWS.
• Strong command of English (minimum B2) for daily communication in an all‑English environment.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and lead technical decisions within a hybrid team.

• Redis or Valkey for caching and state management
