Senior .NET Backend Developer (Hybrid – Porto)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled .NET Backend Developer to join KCS IT’s Porto hub in a hybrid setting. You will work on diverse client projects, designing and implementing robust backend services using modern Microsoft technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications with .NET / .NET Core and ASP.NET Core.
• Design, build, and consume RESTful APIs following best‑practice service design.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL Server and PostgreSQL, including data modelling and query optimisation.
• Implement data access layers using Entity Framework or similar ORMs.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to set up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Containerise applications with Docker and, where required, orchestrate with Kubernetes.
• Write automated tests with xUnit or NUnit and support a microservices architecture.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of professional experience as a Backend Developer.
• Strong proficiency in C# and the Microsoft .NET ecosystem.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with version control (Git) and daily use of English in a professional environment.
