(Senior) Medical Director – Dermatology/Allergology/Immunology/Rheumatology (EMEA)

About the role

The (Senior) Medical Director will lead medical support for dermatology, allergology, immunology and rheumatology clinical trials across the EMEA region. You will work within Thermo Fisher Scientific’s PPD Pharmacovigilance department, ensuring scientific rigor and patient safety throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide medical leadership to study teams, including protocol development and incorporation of the latest scientific data.
• Review and approve study documents such as protocols, amendments, CSRs, ICFs, CRFs, and protocol deviation decisions.
• Conduct real‑time medical monitoring of trials, validating primary endpoints and ensuring early identification of safety issues.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the sponsor and internal PPD departments across all study phases.
• Educate investigator sites through protocol‑specific presentations and lab procedure demonstrations.
• Interact with investigators, IRBs, and health authorities, and prepare materials for safety committees.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GCP, and other regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Medical degree with extensive experience in dermatology, allergology, immunology or rheumatology clinical research.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑regional clinical trials and pharmacovigilance activities.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environments and ability to communicate with health authorities.
