Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Second Shift

About the role

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer on the second shift will lead technical support for Arecibo manufacturing operations, covering feeders, assembly, and testing. The role focuses on process optimization, capacity analysis, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing and testing methods, visual management systems, and error‑proofing solutions.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other continuous‑improvement projects to boost productivity, quality, safety and on‑time performance.
• Analyze workforce utilization, capacity, material flow and equipment layout to maximize operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance for equipment selection, procurement, installation, qualification and validation.
• Monitor process performance using dashboards, Power BI, MES, Ignition and other digital tools, and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or electronics.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional projects and manage capital investment initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE, TPM and Eaton Quality System (EQS).

• Statistical tools (MSA, process capability studies, root‑cause analysis).
• Digital manufacturing platforms: Power BI, MES, Ignition, PcAT, PDES.
• Value Stream Mapping and visual management.
• Equipment layout design and ergonomic standards.
