Senior Internal Auditor

About the role
We are looking for a Senior Auditor to join our growing Internal Audit team in Porto. In this role, you’ll play a key part in strengthening our internal control environment and supporting SOX compliance within a NYSE‑listed organization.
Key responsibilities
- Execute SOX 404(b) testing activities across the organization.
- Assess control design and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Perform control testing and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
- Partner with control owners to strengthen control execution and support remediation efforts.
- Prepare clear, concise, and well‑structured audit documentation, including workpapers, testing results, findings, and observations.
- Support coordination with external auditors during SOX testing cycles.
- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of Global Blue’s internal control framework.
- Help foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and operational excellence.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in audit, internal controls, or risk management.
- Previous experience within a Big 4 environment is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards (US GAAP knowledge is a plus).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, international, fast‑evolving environment.
- Fluency in English and legal authorization to work in Portugal.
- Availability to travel up to 10‑20% when required.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, ACCA, or equivalent are a plus.
