Senior Financial Controller – Wealth Management

About the role

BNP Paribas is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join its Wealth Management team in Lisbon. Reporting to the local Financial Controller Team Leader, you will be responsible for the month‑end closing, budgeting and management‑control reporting across the Wealth Management sites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the monthly closing and budget processes.
• Produce management‑control reports and consolidate financial and non‑financial data from Wealth Management sites.
• Upload, retrieve and validate information in management‑control tools.
• Perform data quality checks and analyse results, responding to ad‑hoc requests.
• Maintain regular contact with sites and Head Office to ensure timely data flow.
• Support internal‑control set‑up by updating procedures and operating manuals.
• Prepare presentations and analytical files for senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement of team processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or Economics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in audit, management control or financial reporting.
• Fluent English and experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Strong analytical ability, rigor, autonomy and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
