Senior Financial Controller – Supply Chain & Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join our fast‑growing hardware scale‑up that designs and manufactures smart locker systems across Europe. You will be embedded in the Operations team and act as the financial partner for supply‑chain and manufacturing leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the COGS build‑up by product line, maintaining bill of materials, labour and overhead allocations.
• Track and report gross margin by product and customer, linking pricing to production costs.
• Monitor procurement cost variances, supplier performance and volume‑driven price shifts.
• Build and analyse production cost‑per‑unit trends across batches and identify drivers of change.
• Maintain the rolling operations forecast, including procurement commitments, production pipeline and cash impact.
• Provide visibility on inventory carrying costs and stock‑demand mismatches.
• Conduct financial reviews with Operations and Finance leadership, delivering decision‑ready variance analysis and cost risk assessments.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in financial controlling, cost accounting or industrial FP&A, preferably in manufacturing or hardware.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting methods such as standard costing, variance analysis, overhead allocation and activity‑based costing.
• Experience working with bills of materials, production variance analysis and procurement cycles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving environment and build controlling processes from the ground up.
