Senior Data & Analytics Engineer

About the role

Neotalent Conclusion is seeking a Senior Data & Analytics Engineer to join its growing data team. You will help design, build, and evolve modern data platforms in cloud environments, ensuring scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and transformation on GCP and/or Databricks.
• Define and promote data‑engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices covering scalability, governance, and security.
• Develop and optimise ELT processes using Databricks, dbt, and SQL‑based transformations.
• Orchestrate and monitor workflows with Apache Airflow, guaranteeing reliability and performance.
• Contribute to modern Lakehouse architectures, including data modelling (Star Schema, Data Vault) and layered storage (raw/bronze/silver/gold).
• Support migration from legacy systems to cloud‑based data platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Analytics, and IT teams to deliver high‑impact data solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience with cloud‑based data platforms, especially GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC) and/or Databricks.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to optimise performance in distributed systems.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a focus on mentorship and continuous improvement.
• Comfortable influencing architectural decisions and establishing engineering best practices.
