Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

KCS IT is seeking a senior‑level Cyber Security Engineer to join our fully remote team in Portugal. You will protect cutting‑edge AI‑driven workloads, especially Microsoft Copilot, by applying Zero Trust principles and advanced threat modeling.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular security reviews of Copilot deployments and identify threats such as prompt injection, model tampering, and data poisoning.
• Implement Identity and Access Management, Conditional Access policies, and Zero Trust architectures for Copilot workloads.
• Develop threat models, execute controlled security tests and red‑team activities.
• Build monitoring capabilities, detect anomalies, and respond to Copilot‑related security incidents.
• Provide 3rd‑level support for complex security, performance, and usage issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT or a related field (or equivalent certifications).
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft 365 and Azure security.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Zero Trust, and threat modeling.
• Practical experience with PowerShell, Python or C#.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., Microsoft Security, AZ‑500, CISSP) are a plus.
• Fluency in English and residence in Portugal.
