Senior Business Analyst - Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering

About the role

Airbus Portugal is looking for a Senior Business Analyst in Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to join its GBS in Lisbon or Coimbra. The role takes a broad, proactive approach to problem solving: managing varied business analysis tasks, spotting core issues in diverse data sets and proposing effective solutions for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Finance stakeholders to optimise KPI frameworks and improve visibility of delivery plans, budgets and operational risks.
• Oversee key parts of the engineering service procurement process and work with country SCMs on Supplier Performance Review strategies to reduce late deliveries and resolve goods receipt issues.
• Analyse workload and capacity data across NatCos and programmes to show how internal, external and outsourced resources are allocated.
• Identify operational risks and opportunities beyond standard reporting and turn mixed data into practical recommendations.
• Build trusted relationships with remote international teams and manage diverse stakeholder needs.
• Lead local initiatives for the Local Team (Airbus Portugal), centralise business management activities, standardise processes and mentor the team in lean management and Six Sigma.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Management, Finance, Engineering or an equivalent track record in business analysis, data management or operational tracking.
• Proven experience in business performance, engineering support or financial analysis, with the ability to handle varied tasks and interpret detailed operational data.
• Highly structured, able to see problems from a broad perspective and drive initiatives with little supervision.
• Fluent English is required; French, German or Spanish is a plus.

Required skills

• Full mastery of Google Workspace tools, including ecosystem automation and coding.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel data architectures.
