Senior Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Auditor to join our Porto office. The role involves leading audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering actionable insights to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and lead audit engagements for national and multinational clients.
• Review financial statements and assess internal controls.
• Identify risks and propose practical recommendations to improve processes and governance.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and coordinate audit work.
• Prepare high‑quality documentation and audit reports.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand their business and clarify audit findings.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the firm.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting and internal control assessment.
• Proven experience in planning and executing audit engagements.
• Advanced analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management capabilities.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or related field; professional certification (e.g., Chartered Accountant) highly valued.
• Experience auditing organisations across diverse sectors and interest in working within a global network.
• Professional integrity, attention to detail and commitment to continuous learning.

Required skills

• Audit software (e.g., IDEA, ACL) and digital audit tools.
• Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with digital audit methodologies.
