Senior Android Developer – Remote (Portugal)

About the role

Wire IT is looking for a Senior Android Developer to join its agile, people‑centered team. The position is fully remote within Portugal and offers the chance to work on challenging projects for an international consulting firm.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Implement modern UI with Jetpack Compose and, where applicable, Compose Multiplatform.
• Apply reactive programming with Coroutines or RxJava and follow MVVM or similar architectures.
• Write comprehensive unit and UI tests to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Senior‑level expertise with a strong focus on clean architecture and testing.
• Ability to read and work with legacy Java codebases.
• Fluent English communication skills.
