Senior Android Developer (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose)

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and maintain high‑quality features for a consumer‑facing dating application. You will work primarily with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and XML‑based layouts, taking ownership of features from concept through release while helping shape Android architecture standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android features that power consumer experiences.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to translate product vision into polished implementations.
• Own the full feature lifecycle: technical design, implementation, testing, release, and iteration.
• Contribute to and evolve Android architecture and engineering standards.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience delivering production Android applications.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive mindset.
• Upper‑intermediate proficiency in English.

• Android architectural patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
• Deep understanding of Android lifecycle, threading, performance and memory management
• REST API integration, error handling and offline support
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools
