Senior Agentic Engineer

About the role

Uphold is seeking a Senior Agentic Engineer to design and operate the AI‑native infrastructure that powers its software delivery pipeline. You will create the orchestration layers and automation tools that let intelligent agents collaborate with human engineers throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build end‑to‑end agentic development pipelines that move features from specification to pull request with human oversight at critical checkpoints.
• Develop and maintain orchestration systems that coordinate AI agents for code generation, testing, review, and deployment.
• Implement feedback loops, guardrails, and quality gates to ensure AI‑produced code meets production standards in a regulated fintech environment.
• Iterate rapidly on pipeline architecture, run experiments, measure impact on engineering throughput, and scale successful patterns across the organization.
• Collaborate with the Agentic Engineering Lead to translate strategic AI adoption goals into shippable systems.
• Evaluate and integrate AI models, coding assistants, and agent frameworks, providing hands‑on assessments for Uphold’s tech stack.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience building complex automation and orchestration platforms.
• Strong understanding of AI‑driven development workflows and the ability to embed them in regulated financial services.
• Track record of improving engineering velocity through tooling and pipeline enhancements.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering teams.
