SBA EIDL Loan Attorney

About the role

Frost Law is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Business & Commercial practice, focusing on the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. The role involves guiding small‑business owners through complex federal lending obligations, from loan modifications to default defense, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of lawyers, CPAs, and financial planners.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent clients throughout all phases of SBA EIDL matters, including loan modifications, deferment requests, hardship accommodations, and repayment negotiations.
• Represent clients in SBA loan defaults, demand letters, Treasury referrals, Offer in Compromise submissions, and Due Process hearings.
• Draft and review personal guaranty agreements, collateral documents, and loan authorization packages.
• Counsel clients on SBA EIDL compliance obligations such as use‑of‑proceeds, collateral covenants, and reporting duties.
• Handle interactions with the SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance and coordinate with loan service centers.
• Assist clients facing SBA litigation, judgment enforcement, wage garnishment, or bank account levies initiated by the Treasury or Department of Justice.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in good standing in the applicable jurisdiction(s).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in SBA lending, federal loan workout, commercial lending, creditor/debtor law, administrative law, or related small‑business legal matters.
