Sales Manager

About the role

The Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for maximizing hotel revenue and market share through a proactive sales approach. The role focuses on acquiring new business, managing existing accounts, and promoting the hotel’s products across corporate, group, leisure, and MICE segments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and solicit new business opportunities across assigned market segments to exceed revenue targets.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular site visits, entertainment and networking activities.
• Conduct sales calls, meetings and presentations; represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events.
• Prepare persuasive proposals, contracts and rate negotiations in line with pricing strategy.
• Manage a portfolio of existing accounts to ensure retention, repeat business and growth.
• Cross‑sell and upsell hotel facilities such as F&B outlets, banqueting, spa and leisure services.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue Management, Catering & Events, Reservations and Front Office teams for seamless execution.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis, providing feedback and recommendations to management.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications and bookings in the hotel’s CRM system.
• Achieve assigned sales targets for revenue, room nights and market share, and prepare regular forecasts and activity reports.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience in a similar sales role within a 4‑ or 5‑star branded hotel.
• BS/BA degree preferred.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
