Sales Manager – Energy Management & Advanced Automation Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead the growth of our Energy Management System (EMS) and advanced automation portfolio across Southern and Western Europe. The role will involve full‑cycle sales, from identifying opportunities to closing complex deals, supporting customers in the pulp and paper, power generation, marine and process industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional go‑to‑market strategies for EMS, APC, optimization and digital solutions.
• Own the complete sales process, including opportunity qualification, pricing, negotiation and contract closure.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and regional teams to align value propositions with market needs.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline, track order intake and drive revenue growth.
• Represent Valmet Automation at industry events and customer meetings.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of energy systems, electricity markets and industrial processes.
• Proven B2B solution‑selling experience with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
• Ability to translate complex customer challenges into high‑value automation and digital solutions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
