Sales Development Representative – Sustainable Materials

About the role

Our client, a pioneering biomaterials company, is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to drive new business with brand partners across fashion, footwear, automotive and other industries. You will be the front‑line contact, building relationships, following up on leads and converting interest into sales opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities with brands in fashion, footwear and accessories.
• Manage inbound and outbound sales activities, including timely follow‑up and proactive outreach.
• Lead customer meetings throughout the sales pipeline, from initial contact to commercial follow‑up.
• Present the company’s materials, capabilities and value proposition to prospects.
• Collaborate with product development, design and sustainability teams of target brands.
• Work with the Chief Growth Officer to prioritize leads and refine outreach strategies.
• Coordinate with the Sales Coordinator for sample hand‑offs and logistics.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to generate leads.
• Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends and product requests.
• Track sales activity and maintain basic CRM updates.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of B2B sales, business development or brand partnership experience.
• Proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Highly self‑motivated and comfortable in an entrepreneurial startup environment.
• Ability to manage multiple sales conversations and follow‑ups simultaneously.
• Passion for sustainability, material innovation and emerging manufacturing technologies.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM software, preferably Hubspot.
