Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Sustainable Materials

About the role

Our client, a pioneering biomaterials company creating sustainable leather alternatives, is looking for a Sales Development Representative to drive new business with fashion, footwear and related brands. The role focuses on front‑line sales activities, from prospect outreach to converting interest into qualified opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop sales opportunities with brands in fashion, footwear, accessories and adjacent sectors.
• Manage inbound inquiries and conduct proactive outbound outreach to prospective partners.
• Lead customer meetings throughout the sales pipeline, from initial contact to commercial follow‑up.
• Present the company’s materials, capabilities and value proposition to prospects.
• Build relationships with product development, design and sustainability teams within target brands.
• Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer to prioritize leads and refine outreach strategies.
• Coordinate sample hand‑offs and logistics with the Sales Coordinator.
• Attend industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to generate leads.
• Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends and product requests to internal teams.
• Maintain basic CRM updates and track sales activity.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of B2B sales, business development or brand partnership experience.
• Proven ability to generate and close new business opportunities.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, comfortable in an entrepreneurial startup environment.
• Ability to manage multiple sales conversations and follow‑ups simultaneously.
• Passion for sustainability, material innovation and emerging manufacturing technologies.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM software; HubSpot is a plus.
