Safety Scientist – Real World Evidence (RWE), EMEA

About the role

We are seeking a Safety Scientist III to lead real‑world evidence activities across the EMEA region. The role focuses on planning, coordinating and delivering signal detection and product safety analyses, while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Support safety data generation, assessment and communication strategies through regular interaction with Safety Evidence Leads and global stakeholders.
• Synthesize multi‑source data into actionable insights that demonstrate product value and support differentiation.
• Monitor the competitive landscape for new safety information and update safety evidence dashboards in collaboration with Biostatistics and Digital Technology teams.
• Identify innovation opportunities, including AI/ML and generative AI tools, to enhance safety analytics.
• Conduct routine data‑mining to uncover gaps, ensure reproducibility via version‑controlled workflows, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Assist in design, execution and reporting of pharmacoepidemiologic studies addressing specific safety questions.
• Represent the team at internal and external meetings, training sessions and KOL engagements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience analysing safety data in pharma, biotech or healthcare.
• Degree in Data Science, Epidemiology, Biostatistics or a related field.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and translate data gaps into actionable plans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with safety databases (e.g., Argus Safety) and large healthcare datasets (EHR, claims, registries).
• Data extraction, mining and analysis using digital tools.
• Experience with AI/ML, generative AI (GenAI, Copilot) and automation technologies.
• Pharmacoepidemiologic study design and reporting.
