Russian-English Interpreter (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

David Kennedy Recruitment is partnering with a leading Outsourcing/BPO consultancy to hire a Russian‑speaking interpreter. The position is fully remote, based in Portugal, and offers full‑time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately convey concepts, tone and style between Russian and English, preserving grammar and syntax.
• Provide verbatim renditions of conversations, ensuring no detail is omitted.
• Follow customer instructions, manage call flow and avoid taking over the call.
• Apply industry‑specific terminology for Insurance, Legal and Medical (general and forensic) sectors.

Required profile

• C1 proficiency in Russian (oral and written) and C1 English.
• High school diploma (mandatory); language or translation studies are a plus.
• Excellent listening, retention and note‑taking abilities.
• Capacity to explain cultural concepts, stay neutral and remain detached.
• Reliable, autonomous, disciplined with strong time‑management skills.
