Remote Accountant – Fintech Payments Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a remote Accountant to join a fast‑growing payment service provider. You will manage multi‑currency transactions, payroll for contractors, and support financial planning in a dynamic fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll for 50+ contractors across multiple currencies, including FX conversions and crypto payroll.
• Validate invoices, manage vendors, and reconcile provider fees.
• Perform month‑end close, reconciliations, and prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow reports.
• Support budgeting, expense monitoring, and budget‑vs‑actual analysis.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, VAT/tax processes, and coordinate audits.
• Drive accounting process improvements and maintain documentation and audit trails.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with auditors, tax compliance and financial risk monitoring.
• Fluent English (B2) and Russian (C1).
• Prior experience in fintech or payment services.

Required skills

• QuickBooks, Xero or NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel.
• Multi‑currency accounting, FX transactions.
• Crypto payment processing.
