Reliability Engineer – Automotive Electronics

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer you will ensure the robustness, quality and long‑term reliability of innovative Bosch automotive products. You will translate product requirements into reliable solutions through analytical thinking and experimental validation.

Key responsibilities

• Define product loads based on use cases, lifecycle expectations and system requirements.
• Develop and evaluate simulations and engineering calculations to assess loads and critical damage mechanisms.
• Plan, execute and assess measurements and tests to determine load capability and component reliability.
• Support development teams with reliability‑focused reviews and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers on reliability concepts, validation strategies and technical solutions.
• Define validation plans and test concepts based on field conditions, industry standards and aging mechanisms.
• Drive failure analysis activities, root‑cause investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to project teams, stakeholders and customers in English.
• Coordinate reliability‑related simulations, testing, failure analysis and validation across multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a comparable field.
• Experience or strong interest in product reliability, validation engineering or failure analysis.
• Exposure to electronics, material science, simulation methods or reliability testing is an advantage.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); German is a plus.
• Structured, detail‑oriented and proactive work style with ability to manage multiple topics.
• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills; motivated and curious.
