Registered Nurse – Per Diem

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team on a per‑diem basis. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with physicians to ensure high‑quality treatment in a behavioral health setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care, assessing physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized nursing care plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and educate patients and families about health conditions.
• Verify and transcribe physicians’ orders, ensuring legibility and compliance.
• Continuously assess patient status and promptly notify physicians of significant changes.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
• Administer medications safely, including controlled substances, and document administration accurately.
• Apply universal precautions and maintain therapeutic rapport while respecting professional boundaries.
• Assist in directing unit activities and communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing school.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of employment.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience; psychiatric or behavioral health experience is a plus.
• CPR certification and de‑escalation/restraint certification (training provided).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility policies.
