R&D VIE – Automotive Seat Design Engineer

About the role

Join Forvia’s R&D team as a VIE focused on automotive seat design. You will work at a dedicated plant, turning concepts into production‑ready seat components while supporting post‑production activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute complete engineering design projects from concept to production release.
• Formulate, recommend and implement seat design solutions within budget and schedule.
• Produce designs that are feasible and economical for existing manufacturing processes.
• Coordinate testing activities and ensure all required tests are performed.
• Participate in customer presentations and support program targets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read technical prints and understand tolerances.
• Experience with mechanical devices and a willingness to work in an automotive environment.

Required skills

• CAD viewer proficiency for 3D visualization.
• Mechanical design expertise.
• Knowledge of automotive seating applications and requirements.
• Familiarity with testing methods and standards.
