QRadar Administrator

About the role

RMCOMM is seeking a full‑time QRadar Administrator to join its on‑site team in San Juan. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, tuning, and optimisation of the IBM QRadar SIEM platform, ensuring reliable security event collection and analysis across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events and fine‑tune QRadar rules, filters, and dashboards.
• Configure and maintain log sources, guaranteeing accurate data ingestion from firewalls, IDS/IPS, servers, cloud services and other applications.
• Troubleshoot QRadar‑related issues, apply patches, and perform system upgrades.
• Optimise performance and storage to sustain high‑volume event processing.
• Collaborate with security analysts, network engineers and IT staff to support incident response and improve detection capabilities.
• Document configurations, procedures and best practices for the SIEM environment.

Required profile

• Strong experience administering IBM QRadar, including rule tuning and log source management.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as incident response, threat detection and security monitoring.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM QRadar) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to work on‑site and collaborate with cross‑functional IT and security teams.
