Purchasing Buyer – Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Buyer to join our global procurement team. In this position you will drive strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost‑optimization initiatives for both Bill‑of‑Materials (BOM) and Maintenance‑Repair‑Operations (MRO) commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned commodities and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Lead sourcing activities, supplier validation, and contract negotiations.
• Support new product introduction projects and supply transitions.
• Run tender processes, including RFIs, RFQs, and e‑sourcing.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues with cross‑functional teams.
• Identify and communicate risks related to cost, timing, and performance.
• Prepare business cases and support governance processes.
• Maintain accurate data in procurement systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
• 5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• Advanced English proficiency and ability to travel nationally and internationally.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP/SAP or similar procurement platforms.
