Project Superintendent

About the role

Perini Management Services Inc. is looking for an experienced Project Superintendent to lead the USCG Sector San Juan Rebuild project in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee all on‑site construction activities, ensuring the project meets design specifications, budget, and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction effort to align with design, budget, and timeline.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise on‑site functions including scheduling and subcontractor management.
• Determine construction methods, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and temporary power needs.
• Coordinate work across multiple trades, company departments, and other contractors.
• Identify and resolve productivity issues, work‑interface conflicts, and drawing/site condition discrepancies.
• Provide technical assistance on drawing interpretation, construction methods, and equipment selection.
• Assist in developing project procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Monitor schedule progress and develop look‑ahead schedules with the construction team.
• Implement the Site Specific Safety Plan and participate in the Quality Control program.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising large‑scale construction projects, preferably design‑build.
• Strong ability to coordinate subcontractors and multiple trades on site.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for construction‑related challenges.
• Ability to work closely with project management, owners, and safety/quality teams.
