Project Manager – Deputy to Program Manager (Puerto Rico)

About the role

Tetra Tech is looking for an experienced Project Manager to act as Deputy to the Program Manager for a high‑profile, federally funded program supporting the Puerto Rico Department of Housing. You will help drive day‑to‑day operations, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure the program stays on schedule, within scope and compliant with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily program activities, monitoring schedules, deliverables and budget compliance.
• Coordinate and support multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors and participating entities.
• Serve as primary liaison with the Puerto Rico Department of Housing and other key stakeholders.
• Oversee project execution, risk management and regulatory reporting.
• Act as the lead in the Program Manager’s absence, ensuring continuity of operations.

Required profile

• Organized, proactive leader with proven experience managing federally funded, disaster‑recovery, infrastructure or construction programs.
• Strong ability to work with diverse teams and external partners.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
