Project Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

Gleeds is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead construction and installation activities on a data centre project in Sines, Portugal. The role is site‑based, requiring full‑time presence on‑site during the workweek.

Key responsibilities

• Support Business Unit Directors in achieving project objectives and delivering high‑quality services.
• Ensure construction and installation work complies with specifications, budget, and schedule.
• Facilitate clear communication between general contractors, the client, and the Gleeds project team.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors to guarantee on‑time delivery of critical equipment.
• Monitor on‑site progress, conduct regular safety walks, and track corrective actions.
• Prepare and review technical submissions and method statements.
• Assist in change management, evaluating variations and potential delays.
• Advise senior management of issues that could affect professional indemnity insurance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction legislation and technical requirements.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and negotiation abilities.
• Professional fluency in English and Portuguese.
• Right to work in Portugal and availability to work on‑site in Sines five days a week.
