Production Manager

About the role

As a Production Manager at Haworth Portugal you will lead the local production team, ensuring safety, quality, delivery and cost targets are met. You will drive continuous‑improvement projects and shape the future of the plant’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement agile work policies that maximise efficiency without compromising quality or safety.
• Identify, plan and execute projects that support the local manufacturing strategy.
• Collaborate with management on the preparation of investment plans.
• Lead continuous‑improvement activities in line with HMS policies and targets.
• Develop a strong health‑and‑safety culture through risk identification and mitigation.
• Foster team development, engagement and high performance.
• Resolve daily operational issues with a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Oversee raw‑material warehouse operations and ensure accurate inventory flow.

Required profile

• Industrial Engineering or similar degree with a manufacturing focus (or equivalent experience).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of results‑oriented leadership.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in production‑management roles.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Required skills

• Lean concepts and continuous‑improvement methodology.
• Experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics or SAP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
