Product Engineer

About the role

ABB is looking for a Product Engineer to support engineering activities across multiple disciplines, ensuring efficient and cost‑effective project execution. You will collaborate with Operations and Agile teams to deliver solutions that meet customer expectations for response time, delivery, and product performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement engineering changes, managing the EC backlog.
• Analyze and monitor product costs.
• Lead POD and cost‑reduction initiatives, providing ideas and supporting implementation.
• Manage small projects and external processes, supporting suppliers on EC implementation.
• Maintain MM/BOM routings and oversee Capex investments and budget management.
• Support localization activities and product validation.
• Integrate with Agile teams and participate in manufacturing execution meetings.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Positive, proactive, collaborative mindset with strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies, equipment, and tools.
• Fluency in English.
• Commitment to ABB’s core values of safety and integrity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using 2D/3D CAD systems.
