Procurement & Purchases Manager

About the role

We are a fast‑growing manufacturer of high‑quality phone booths based in Portugal. As we expand our global footprint, we need a hands‑on Procurement & Purchases Manager to lead our sourcing and purchasing activities and ensure a reliable supply chain for production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end procurement function, focusing on supplier sourcing, negotiation, cost control and purchase‑order management.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, securing optimal pricing, lead times and payment terms.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels, anticipate shortages and guarantee on‑time delivery of materials.
• Analyse purchasing data and supplier performance to identify cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements.
• Review, negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with quality, commercial and delivery standards.
• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s operations to align procurement decisions with production and commercial realities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Management, Industrial Engineering, Economics or a related field.
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with confidence working in Excel and ERP/purchasing platforms.
• Skilled negotiator comfortable managing multiple suppliers and competing priorities.
• Dynamic, curious and eager to learn in a fast‑paced setting.
