Pricing Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role

MAKRO, the Portuguese subsidiary of the METRO Group, is hiring a Pricing Specialist (m/f/d) for maternity leave cover. Reporting directly to the Pricing Manager, you will manage and run the company's pricing processes and analyse how different pricing scenarios affect sales and margin, working closely with the Offer department.

Key responsibilities

• Incorporate insights into the pricing management system that support the category and sales channel strategy
• Analyse pricing scenarios, generate and update reports, and present key findings and recommendations
• Drive change management initiatives, such as implementing new pricing and promotion management processes and systems
• Share specialised knowledge with the Offer and Store teams on price perception management
• Produce ad hoc analyses and initiatives that add value to the Pricing strategy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing business priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent English (minimum B1 level)
• Availability for a fixed-term contract of uncertain duration (maternity leave cover)

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office, especially Access and Excel (VBA)
• Knowledge of SQL, Power BI, MicroStrategy or other BI tools is an advantage
