Portuguese Banking Client Advisor – Lisbon

About the role

We are seeking a Portuguese‑speaking Banking Client Advisor to join a respected international bank in Lisbon. You will deliver high‑quality, customer‑focused advice and support to retail and small‑business clients through phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client enquiries via phone, email and in‑person meetings, providing clear and professional service.
• Assess client needs and recommend suitable banking products such as accounts, loans, savings and payment solutions.
• Process account openings, maintenance requests and routine transactions while ensuring compliance with internal policies.
• Identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities, always prioritising the client’s best interests.
• Maintain accurate client records and update CRM systems with interaction details.
• Escalate complex cases to specialised teams and collaborate with colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.
• Contribute to branch targets and participate in training, quality‑assurance and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Native Portuguese (C2) for internal communication and reporting.
• Previous experience in retail banking, financial services, customer service or sales is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, client‑focused attitude.
• Good numerical literacy, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Eligibility to work in Portugal and willingness to work occasional early shifts or Saturdays.
